The HOTEL ANIEU is a 1 star hotel and it is located in the centre of Jaca, behind the cathedral. Jaca is on the left bank of the Aragón river, 820 metres above sea level and 70 kms from Huesca. Jaca is a meeting point on the Road to Santiago. Many routes can be found from Jaca to Candanchú, Lourdes, Valle de Hecho and Ansó. Built in 1994 and refurbished in 2000. We have a staff of 2. Monuments such as the 11th-century Romanesque Cathedral, the Diocesan Museum with its wealth of medieval paintings attest to the cultural heritage the town. The Citadel - a masterpiece of military architecture dating from 1600 -, the Town Hall, the Clock Tower, the churches of Carmen, San Salvador and San Ginés (Benedictine Monasteries) and the Monastery of Santiago are architectural jewels in the history of Aragón. The Rapitán Fountain, which houses an interesting Museum of Military Miniatures - open in Easter Week and the summer . and other sculptures in the squares and streets make this a beautiful, lively town.
Some of the outings to be made in the area include: - The Romanesque Route. In San Juan de Prio you can enjoy a visit to the XII century monastery, an emblematic monument of Aragón, Santa Cruz de Serox from XI century and San Cepresio from the XI century.
- The Route of the Valleys. The Tena Valley offers a combination of art, landscape and outdoor activities.
